Here are the swatches i said I would upload for you guys today!

Left Kinda Sexy, Right Oxblood in daylight

As you can see from the swatches they are very similar but have very different under tones. Kinda Sexy is much lighter and has a slight peach tone and Oxblood is darker and more brick/red toned. The pictures don't really show the big difference that I see on my arm or when they're applied to my lips. Kinda Sexy goes on almost orange on me and oxblood is very flattering. For reference I am NW20 in mac foundation. If you're curious but dont want to buy incase you dont suit it, i would recommend trying it on in store if/when its available.

I was lucky enough to have heard about the glitch on the Mac Cosmetics UK website and managed to purchase this lipstick before they removed/fixed the glitch! This was definitely the first shade to catch my eye out of the 6 lipsticks available in the collection.. Although I am a huge fan of reds this lipstick seems to have changed my mind for the time being!

The other shade I am VERY anxious to get my hands on is Barbecue - so we'll have to wait for that review once the collection has officially been released! I also wanted to say a massive thank you to Mac Cosmetics for honoring our orders because they usually would have cancelled the orders and refunded us but this time we were very lucky ladies!

The outer packaging of the lipstick tube - with a suede feel 

First off we must begin with this stunning piece of art that is in fact the packaging.. As soon as I saw pictures of this lipstick/collection I KNEW i had to have at least one item from the collection. Not only is it a beaut, it also has one of those old styled 'sleeves' to cover the lipstick box with the main design on it. AND to top that, the lipstick has a suede/velvet feel to it similar to the Rihanna Viva Glam lipsticks. Sadly I took mine to body painting class today and managed to mark it and that doesn't seem to want to budge! :(

Many people have been comparing this to Mac's Kinda Sexy lipstick, and i do see similarities but I can tell you now that they're not exactly dupes. Kinda sexy really doesn't suit me but Oxblood does - hence why I think there is quite a difference.. I will upload pictures to compare them tomorrow as day light has decided to cease for today!

I wore this the last two days and managed to get very long wear out of it even with some Vaseline applied underneath it (not the best weather for matte lipsticks!). The colour is beautiful and not at all fiddly to apply. It pairs well on my skintone with Boldly Bare lipliner (also by mac- of course!). I had been searching for a lipstick to finally replace my bad habit of using Boldly Bare all over and this is definitely it's perfect match! I didn't however enjoy the cracked lips look without having scrubbed and 'moisturised' my lips but I can't blame the lipstick as it is sadly winter time.. Overall I rate this 10/10 because the packaging is so stunning, the shade is beautiful and can work with many skin tones & the longevity of it.

If you're wondering when you can pick it up, I have heard from Mac Cosmetics UK that it will be released on the 26th of February 2015!

Here is the beautiful limited edition coral bag from the Keepsakes Mac collection that I had been dying to get my hands on.. The colour of the lipstick was definitely the first thing to draw me in and then upon receiving it, it was the lip liner that really had me! The bag is so pretty - white & sparkly. It just reminds me of freshly laid snow at night when the light bounces off it and makes it look like little diamonds <3 I sound so cheesy but it totally gives me that 'Christmassy' feeling all over again! 

I personally didn't like the finish of the lipstick as its a cremesheen and i have quite badly chapped lips and when I applied it all you could see are cracks everywhere! I will probably use this during the summertime when my lips are in much better condition and don't show so badly! The colour was very sheer too i would have loved this if it was a matte finish no doubt.. I love my opaque lipsticks haha :) The lip liner on the other hand was amazingly pigmented and is a very vivid orange and almost coral coloured. It applied nicely and evenly and lasted for quite a while. It of course outlasted the lipstick.. The lipglass however, didn't look to me as if it would really go with either the liner or the lipstick as it's quite a peachy nude coral if that makes ANY sense..? I found that the lipglass was quite runny if I applied to much it would actually 'leak' off my lips so I had to try and apply a small amount of it! 

I would have to say I'm not as pleased with this kit as I thought I would have been.. The colours looked perfect for me as corals are some of my favourites! Sadly the finish of the lipstick and the longevity of it really isnt worth it to me - and its definitely not for people with chapped lips! The lip liner was perfection for me, I could probably wear that all over as a lipstick! The lipglass is so pretty but I don't think i'll be wearing it along with either the lippie or liner from this kit! :)

 Overall for packaging and the contents I'd score a 6/10 - If you love corals and love cremesheems this bag is 100% made for you!

Been Away For Some Time..

Been Away For Some Time..

Hello to you all! I am so sorry I haven't blogged in a while..

Sadly, a week after my last post I lost someone dear to me and I couldn't really do much and blogging, honestly, was the last thing on my mind. :(

But now I'm feeling refreshed and my head is clear and I'm feeling more positive about things.

I have just started back at college and I'm hoping that this next semester won't be as rushed and crazy like the last! I'm hoping to work hard but also to have time to do my own things out of college too! ;)

I will be reviewing a few items in the next few days including some of the holiday collection that I had time to post pictures of but not reviews & some items sent from my lovely sponsor (thank you! :D) - also I have ordered the Mac Cosmetics Bollydoll Brush Kit and I am SUPER excited about that!

It arrived in a HUGE box and made me wonder what else I had ordered, 

but it was only one lipstick! I'm still expecting the coral lip bag and I should be receiving it
